Village Stitchers

Class News- Thanks everyone for being willing to meet on Friday intstead of Saturday. On Friday the goal is to machine quilt your Nine-Patch Quilts, and put the binding on. I will have some supplies ready to start a Needle Case.

At our next meeting, we will begin discussing making our Jelly-Roll Quilt. I have some Jelly Rolls available to purchase for $5.

Supplies to bring for Friday, April 9th- Sewing machine, sewing supplies, thread for quilting, and if you have them, a Walking Foot. Also if you need them, please bring your reading glasses, you will be doing some hand work.

We will begin cutting and piecing our Nine-Patch blocks today. Please bring to class your fabric, (already pressed), your graph paper with your dimensions, sewing machine, thread and scissors, and other general sewing supplies. If you have them, please bring a self-healing cutting mat, rotary cutter, and rulers. Don’t worry if you don’t have them, there will be some available to borrow.

The ladies will meet Saturday February 20th at 9am at Village Church for breakfast and an introductory quilting class taught by Rena Horn. We will be going over basics such as supplies during day 1 of “Quilting 101″. Bring a friend!

Valentine’s dinner on February 14th at 12pm (following church). Everyone is invited for food and fellowship!
